VMware Administrator (VMRADM):
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administration and support of VMware infrastructure
- Tuning, Optimization and Capacity Planning
- Recommends and implement best practices
- Monitoring and analysis of alerts
- Manages backups and restores
- Patch management
- Update the technical documentation and operating procedures
- Providing 2nd line support
- Implementing changes according to ICT change management procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold first cycle higher education in computer science or related field
- Must hold a VMware Certified Professional 5 – Data Center Virtualization certifications
- At least 4 years of proven professional experience after completing education
- At least 2 years of professional experience relevant to the job
- Presents excellent command of English, at least at B2 level
- Experience in administration of complex IT systems, distributed environments
- Experience in deploying and administering virtual machines and vApps
- Experience in establishing and maintaining service levels with the use of VMware mechanisms
- Experience in planning, installing, configuring and upgrading vCenter Server and VMware vSphere
- Experience in planning and configuring vShpere networking and storage
- Experience with storage and backup management
- Expertise in analysing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with monitoring systems, preferably in Microsoft SCOM
- Hands-on experience in administering of Storage Array Network based on Cisco and Brocade products
- Hands-on experience with HP blade server administration
- Solid scripting skills in VMware vSphere PowerCLI, VMware vSphere Command Line Interface or other
- Hands on experience in administering Microsoft Systems such as MS Exchange, MS SQL, MS SCCM
- Hands on experience in administering VMware Horizon View
- A proactive attitude, team-work spirit, being self-motivated with a strong user orientation
- Good communication skills
